Tea Time

Sunday Mom, Devoni, Gigi, Meredith, Deidre and I went to afternoon tea at the St Regis hotel.  It was such a nice, elegant way to start off the new year with a new tradition we will keep up year after year.  I can't wait to take Amberly in a few years.  I was a little skeptical, thinking "its just tea?!" but was pleasantly surprised how fun and delicious everything was!

If you have a group of women and a reason to celebrate {or just because} I HIGHLY recommend doing tea.  It was 2 hours of conversation, laughter and fun!  So glad we did this!

Tomorrow is the a&m v LSU bowl game.  Being the good wife that I am, I actually went out and got a new cuter a&m shirt {I am so supportive lol} My bff Kelly went to LSU so we're going to their house for the game.  I honestly can't wait to hear her and Danny going at it over the game haha  Going to be a fun night!!!!

daaaa dooooo

Over this past week LOTS has been going on....one thing that is so fun and exciting, is that when we say "love you" to Ambs she has started saying "daaaaa dooooo" back....which we think means "love you" daaaaa doooo....makes sense right?  We love it!

She also knows where her hair, nose, tummy and feet are thanks to her new books we got from Santa.  She's so proud of herself! 

She's had a little runny nose the past few days but nothing major, just great Texas allergies.  Also, last week Gigi and Papa Joe came in town!  {More on that later in the post}  But last Thursday we took Ambs to Dr Bishop to talk about her tip toeing.  Lots of people had been telling me it was a sign of autism, cerebral palsy, a short achilles tendon, etc....so kind of had me freaked out!  We took her in, he saw her walk in all her ballerina glory and did all the tests on her feet and reflexes and said all is just fine.  She just prefers her tip toes and she will grow out of it.  Thank goodness!  Oh Meredith T, our Christmas cards were right next to each others on the wall lol

Last Sunday's game was the Broncos v Texans so of course Devoni was supporting her dream bf Tim Tebow so I dressed Ambs in her Gator clothes too.  Here they are in their Gator room

Wednesday morning we did Christmas with Devoni, Tom, Gigi and Papa Joe.

Friday was NYE and we went to III Forks with Kelly, Jason and some friends. 

The whole group.  It was a great night....minus Danny getting SO sick at 2am from something he ate.  He was throwing up til 8:30am.....poor thing :(  We think it was the lobster bisque, just didn't taste right.

Last but not least, I got this little swimsuit from Janie and Jack for Amberly for our Hawaii trip!  I can't wait to see her in the sun and sand!!!

Year of Weddings

2010 was the year of weddings for the Wardlows.  We had 6 total, and one more we weren't able to make because of our Florida trip.  Pretty much all of our bffs got married this year...now just waiting on them for some baby news!  ha!  Weddings are so much fun and we were so honored to have been a part of them. 

First up was my BFF Kelly's wedding.  Her and Jason have dated since we were 17.  I love them both so much and it was an amazing, elegant and beautiful wedding.

Brian Leatherwood and Danny have been friends since they were little kids.  Danny's bro TJ was a groomsmen so it was nice to see him and Gaby for the weekend.

In May we traveled to Riviera Maya for Jason and Chelsea's wedding - it was a gorgeous resort and was so much fun to be in MX with all of our friends for 4 days!

In June we headed to Dallas to go to our "matchmakers" wedding, my good friend Danielle.  She introduced Danny to me and I will always be so thankful for that! 

The wedding was decorated with gorgeous pinks and champagnes, and the food was so yummy {the sliders and milkshakes at the end were so good}  Kelly and Jason were there too so we had extra fun with them.

In October was the VB wedding.  Sara wore my veil as her something borrowed!

The wedding was outside, the weather was perfect, gorgeous purple flowers, amazing!

And the last of the year, was Nikki and Joe's wedding.  The venue, food, flowers were all perfect!  And Ambs got to come too which made it really fun {not really the best pic of her lol}

We had so much fun at all the weddings, showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties!  Next year so far we have 2 to go to and can't wait for some more wedding fun!

Every year we do Christmas with the Doggetts and the Leatherwoods.  This year it was at Meredith's house.  They had delicious gumbo, beautiful table settings, and we had a wonderful time with them, as always.

After doing our gifts, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wardlows!  We all got lots of more goodies.  After that, Mom and Dad came to our house to do gifts there....We are so lucky to have such fantastic parents, who really know how to spoil us!  :)
