It's a Beautiful Day

The weather here this week has been AMAZING!  I think Fall is officially here!  Amberly and I will actually venture outside after 11am...{before it was WAY too hot for me}  Mom and Dad came over to see Ambs the other day and we took her to the park around the corner from our house. 

But first, Ambs had to try on her new bathrobe Mimi got her....it's going to get chilly here soon so she needs something nice and cozy

Tonight A&M plays OK State {I think} so Devoni, Ryan and Cara are coming over to watch the game....I think it's a big game because it's actually televised :)  sorry babe, had to say that!  I hope they win, if not that will = a cranky hubs :)  Gig 'Em  {never thought I'd actually say that}

Bachelorette Sara

First things first.....Amberly has started giving kisses and it is the CUTEST thing! She has been taking a few steps on her own lately too if she gets her balance right - well, tonight she took 5 steps from me to Devoni to get my iPhone haha yay babydoll! It was so exciting! I am hoping she walks for her party, maybe?

In other news, Danny's dad comes home Friday from India for 9 days. He is not going to believe how much Amberly has changed since he's been gone. It will be so nice to have him back!

Kelly and Danielle - it was so good to see Danielle {I was in her wedding in June} and hear all about her honeymoon in Italy.  Can't wait to see her again at Ambs party and the wedding!

We had SUCH a fun night!  It was full of such funny moments - so many one liners we should have written them down!  I can not wait for the wedding and Sara to be Mrs. Van Bergen!

I was so happy to be home to Monkey when we got to Devoni's.  Devoni went to Roundtop Friday and got Amberly this little kid size bench.  It is too cute.  When I got there, I picked her up and then put her down to play and she was not havin it and would not let go of me - it was so sweet!  LOVED IT!

catchin up with the Graniers

What a weekend we had!  Friday night Kelly came over and stayed with me since Danny was in Chicago.  I had gotten spray tanned earlier that day, so she gave Amberly her bath that night so I wouldn't splotch haha.  It was Kelly's first time to bathe a baby and she's a pro!

Saturday morning we met Nicole, Troy and Abigail at La Madeline for breakfast.  My mom met us there too.  First thing, I gave Ambs her morning bottle and formula went EVERYWHERE!  I am a firm believer in Playtex Drop-Ins and they have never ever had a hole in them in all of Amberly's little life....but there sure was one that morning.....so after that ice breaker, we were ready to eat.

After breakfast, we packed and were off to Austin......more to come.

VB bachelor/bachelorette weekend

Hey guys!  The past two days have been semi stressful!  Ambs has 2 more teeth coming in and Danny was in San Antonio the last two nights so a teething baby up at all hours of the night and no hubs = one tired mama!  We are both so glad he's home tonight!

 This weekend is the Van Bergen Bachelor and Bachelorette parties.  We are both in their wedding in 3 weeks and we can not wait! Matt's party is in Chicago and Sara's already been to NYC, but this weekend is for all the Austin girls.  Kelly and I will be leaving for Austin Saturday morning and I can not wait to see everybody - and esp Danielle who I haven't seen since her wedding in June!

Sara and I at the Gray's wedding.  I love this girl so much and I am so happy to be a part of their special day!  We have become so close and such good friends and I am so happy for these two!  It's going to be an amazing wedding and after months of g-chatting things back and forth I can't wait to see everything come together! 

However, before we leave for Austin, Kelly and I are meeting a good friend from HS and my college roomie {soph year} for breakfast.  She's in town this weekend from Louisiana and I haven't seen her since her wedding last year, and during that time she's had a little girl, Abigail.  We can't wait to meet her and she can meet Amberly! 

We had a play date yesterday afternoon with Meredith, Eli {Meredith's grandson, see below the 2 of them last Christmas eve} and Jeanne.  I looked thru my pics from yesterday and most are blurry  :(  ....but here's some that came out ok.  They are such cute kiddos and we had lots of fun!

Danson and Kelsea

During my birthday dinner, the boys both on their phones "watching" their football games, Kelly coined the phrase "Danson"....as in Danny and Jason.....I think that name is perfect!  These boys could not be more alike in a lot of ways and are as onrie as all get out!  We are so glad that they get along so well and have so much fun together!  So naturally, Kelly and I are "Kelsea."  Here's some more pics from my birthday evening.

After Olive's we went to Baker St and of course it was a mini HS reunion as it always is when you go there....so we left and went to HEB for some snacks.  While walking into the store Kelly tripped over a rake....and twisted her ankle in the process....so we put her in the motorized cart for the trip.  Needless to say, we all had a little TOO much fun shopping!

Sunday afternoon, Nikki had her first bridal shower {I am a bridesmaid in her wedding Nov 6th}.  It was a lot of fun!  {The necklace I have on is what Kelly got me for my bday}

When we got back home, the boys were on baby duty AND watching the Texans game.....my goodness, they were a mess!  They grilled, and everything so my kitchen was a disaster, but they had fun!  What a game that was?!  I have never seen 2 people cheer and scream so loud as Danson.....I have video but I will spare you. haha

Danny even took Amberly out for a victory run around the culdesac.....

All in all, I had a wonderful birthday and a great weekend with my family and friends!

My 27th Birthday
