Birthday weekend in Austin

I promise more Hawaii blogs are coming.  We have been busy this past week and we spent the weekend in Austin for Chris and Sara's birthdays!

Friday afternoon Danny and I headed to Austin, sans Ambs.  She got to have a fun filled weekend of her own with Grandma and Grandpa.  Friday night we went to dinner with everyone at Jack Allen's...if you live in Austin, you have to go check that place out.  It's really good.  To my disgust, when I went to start snapping away pics, my battery was dead.  The only pic of the whole evening was this blurry one from my phone.

Happy birthday Chris!

After dinner we all headed downtown.  After an interesting cab ride, we made it out.  Needless to say, Danny and I lasted less than an hour.  We just can't hang anymore.  I also think us and the Grays were the only married people in the whole place haha.  Jason and Chelsea were about 20 minutes behind us.  We stayed at Jason's condo downtown for the last time.  They sold it today.  No more Kinney house.  :(

Saturday morning we drove back to their house in Georgetown, made a $20 Chick-Fil-A stop and Chelsea and I started our packed day.  We made trips to Kay Jewelers, Sephora, and HEB.  That afternoon I got a massage and Chelsea got a facial at the spa in their club house.  It was awesome!  The lady said I am way too stressed! ha!  However, my back has hurt since....think she pushed a little too hard. Then Chelsea and I hung out by the pool and had a skinny rita and lunch.  Perfect day!

That night we went to Second Bar + Kitchen to celebrate Sara's birthday!  And I had a fully charged camera!

Love them!  Chelsea got Sara a "30" wine glass.
Chelsea and I brought the cake.  So good!  Happy Birthday Sara!

Happy Birthday Sara!

When Danny and I started dating, one of the first couples I met was Matt and Sara.  We had Taboo game nights at their house and went out with them.  Along with Jason and Chelsea, (and everyone else) they all welcomed me with open arms and made me feel welcome into their big group of friends.

Today is Sara's Birthday!!!!  Sara is the sweetest, most energetic and happy person I have ever met. You can't help but be happy just being around her.   I am so glad that we have become so close and talk every day.  I really can't wait to see how Amberly and baby Sydney's friendship will develop; we just know they'll be BFFs.  Happy birthday Sara!  I hope you have a FABULOUS day and we will see yall Friday!

One of our first nights out.   Wesam's bar opening.
Chinese New Year/Danny's back to Singapore for 2  months party at Imperia
Sara came to my Austin work shower thrown by a lady I worked with, who is also the mom of one of our friends, Justin.  You may recall Shelly and baby (well not a baby anymore) Brooks on the blog.  Love them!
Chelseas and Sara at our couple shower at the Doggetts.
After Sara forgot her sunglasses at the gas station lol remember that?!
idk WHY Danny and I did not have a pic of us 4 at our wedding?!  Do you have one? lol
So next up.  Amberly's birth day.  Sporting their Aunt and Uncle t shirts
At the UT vs a&m game!  Was FREEZING!
Matching jammies at Zach and Ashley's Christmas PJ party
New Year 2010 at Zach and Ashley's
Sara and Chelsea love Ambs so much!  We went to their house to watch the National Championship game when UT played...and lost :(
Us 6, Danny, Sara, Matt, Chelsea, Jason and I always tried to do a group dinner at least once a month.
Waiting to play LCR at Jason's ranch.  Celebrating Jason's bday that wknd.
Matt and Sara were in town the weekend of Kelly's couple shower and met us at Hotel Zaza afterwards.
Glad someone wore green on St Patty's day
Sara and Kelly have become friends too and I love that!  Here at Kelly and Jason's wedding
Matching MK watches at their engagement party!
Hanging out waiting for Jason and Chelsea's wedding to start in Riviera Maya.  Was absolutely gorgeous!
After the wedding we all jumped in the resort's pool.  LOVE this pic, just wish D was in it.  He took the pic.
Out in Austin for Sara's bachelorette party.
Sara and Matt came in the Friday night before Amb's 1st bday party.
She helped me make marshmallow pops.  Without her and Kelly, the party would not have had any food lol  They were my chefs as I was running around hanging poms.
Week before their wedding.  Last pic w Ambs as Sara Billy!
Sara and Matt's BIG day!  I was so honored to be a part of it!  And Sara wore my veil!
And a few months later, we all hosted Sara's baby shower!
And now baby Sydney is here!

Happy Birthday Sara!  We hope you have the best bday ever!

Love,

Hawaii Part III

Tuesday morning we headed to Ke'e Beach.  It was about an hour from our hotel, but the drive was gorgeous!  All the mountains, water falls, ocean views were so pretty.
They have one lane bridges too which was kind of strange.
Even on Ke'e Beach there were chickens everywhere lol  Ambs was so excited to be at the beach.
Mimi made her bikini.
The water was so pretty, these pics really don't do it justice.  There were ton of snorkelers too.
Bathing Beauty hanging with Daddy!
Everyday there were little showers that lasted a few minutes.
Gigi, Papa Joe, Danny, Grandpa and I took cover....
while Ambs and Grandma stayed by the water and played.
After the rain cleared up, we went into the water.
SO excited to be playing with her beach toys!
We went for a walk along the beach and she picked up tons of rocks!
The farthest mountain away is the Na Pali Coast, that's where the movie South Pacific was filmed.

Grandpa took Ambs back to play while we continued to walk.
They were so cute playing when we got back.
After packing up to leave we took a quick pic with this really cool tree!
On our way back we made some pit stops to take some pics.  Getting to this waterfall was against my better judgement, but made for a good pic :)
Me and Devoni

Someone was wore out!  She even slept thru our numerous stops.
This is a famous light house.  See it in the background.
We drove past this guy on this huge bike!
We drove past a sign that said "fresh leis".  We made a stop and Tom got 4 of them for us girls to wear to the luau that night.  The lady told us "your husband has to put it on you."

That night we went to a luau and it was awesome!  Pics to come!
