On the Road Again

Ok yall....get ready for picture overload.  The past few weeks we have been BUSY!!!!  Sept 2 was my mom's birthday and little Lila Claire's birthday too.  That weekend we were in Austin, College Station and Lake Charles.  3 fun, yet short, little road trips!

Friday night we had my mom/dad and Danny's mom over for dinner at our house.  Danny's dad was sick so he stayed at home.  We had thai food for dinner and Mimi had Ambs help her blow out her candles.
Happy birthday Mimi!
After a bath, Ambs had to help her open her gifts.
Saturday morning we got up and headed to Austin to celebrate baby Tyson's 1st birthday party!  I can not believe he is already 1...so crazy how fast they grow up!
Most of yall know, Tyson's daddy Zach plays baseball so his party was a baseball theme.  Ashley did such a great job with the party!  Ever little detail was covered.

Everyone autographed Tyson's baseball

Amberly and the birthday boy
We also got to see baby Sydney.  She is still so tiny, but is so alert and adorable!  I love her baseball bow
Cake time!
At the party, Zach and Ashley also had a little announcement!  Baby Jackson #2!!!!
We are so happy for them!
Amberly has been practicing holding her baby doll, so she was a pro at holding Syd this time.  Even holding her feet lol  Check out her baby Jordans :)
kissy kissy....so sweet
Showing Tyson how to use all his new toys.  It was a quick trip, but we wouldn't have missed it!  Zach and Ashley are great friends of ours and celebrating their little boy was so special!

Up next, College Station on Sunday.
We dropped Amberly off at Grandma and Grandpa's for the day and to BCS we went.
I have to say, again, that I am a great wife lol  I wore my aggie shirt and everything.  Danny would NEVER in a million years wear a UT shirt...ever....so I have to give myself props lol
After some tailgating we headed into the stadium.  Danny and Matt know a secret about Kyle Field....you can get on it before the game.  I have to say, even my Longhorn self, was very impressed.  We got to see the players practice up close & personal.  They were huge guys!

Welcome to Aggieland

It was a good game, they won.  But such a long day!

The next day was Labor Day and we headed to Lake Charles, LA to meet Ryan and Cara's sweet, new baby Lila Claire Holloway.  On the road again.....

Danny's mom drove us so we could have a break driving and Amberly and Danny were out within no time.

Everyone, meet Lila Claire.  Isn't she the sweetest thing ever!  Just love her!
Amberly "being nice" to the baby lol
I am obsessed with her name.  I think it's so cute.
She's so good with babies.....until she tries to push them off her lap.....don't worry, we were right there to catch her before that happened.
Last year was the year of weddings and this year seems to be the year of babies.  One of our friends is due THIS Friday.  Another blessing to be born.

Are yall still reading?! lol  I have so many blogs to finish up....a few more Hawaii, our aquarium & children's museum trips, and Amberly's baptism this weekend.  I will get to them soon I promise.  Hope you all are having a great weekend!  xoxo

First Day at MDO

Today was Amberly's first day at her Mother's Day Out program.  It's at one of our local churches and Eli goes there too!  Sadly, they're not in the same class; he's a little older than Ambs.  They do get to see each other during outdoor playtime :)

Last night I packed Amberly's lunch in her new cute Pottery Barn Kids lunch box.  I didn't know she would need a lunch box for sure (mommy fail) until last Thursday, so no personalization.  :(  Also, you may notice she doesn't have a back pack.  It was back ordered 6 wks ago on PBK and should ship Thursday.  Woohoo.  I know she can't read, but it felt odd to not put a note in her lunchbox, so I did anyway.

This morning she was less than thrilled about all of my picture taking.  This is the best I got.  Mimi made her nap mat and I couldn't be more happy with it.
Such a big girl!
She wanted to carry both.  I kept thinking she was going to tip over bc of the extra lbs she was carrying lol
"Come on Dad, let's go inside!"
It was pretty crazy in there.  So many classes, moms, kids, strollers.  Happy kids, crying kids lol  Ambs was so good.  She was just so curious about all of the new toys!
Mommy and Me!
"Come on Dad!  I want to play!"
We said our goodbyes and she was good to go.  Danny and I hung around about 15 mins and looked in thru the 2 way window.
Already found a baby doll.
Dang glare....but you can see her sitting by her teacher in the purple.
There are 2 teachers.  Mrs. Kimberly and Mrs. Beverly.

Now playing with puzzles with Mrs Beverly.
Already wanting to sit with Mrs. Beverly.  Danny said she's going to be the teacher's pet. ha!
She is so trusting.  We are DEF gonna have to have a stranger danger talk.

We went to the school early to spy again before picking her up.  12-1:30 is their nap time so we got there about 1:30 to see all 14 kids sleeping.  We were amazing that there they all were, asleep on their mats.  It was actually pretty amazing.  Apparently when the lights are off in the room, they can see out of it.  So, Ambs saw us peeking thru the glass.  Mrs. Kimberly came out and goes "Are Amberly's parents here?!  She keeps pointing to the window"  haha  Yes, we're here LOL  So she got dismissed early.  haha

She had a good report in her folder that told us she was "happy, ate everything, slept at nap time, and had a BM lol"  (they circle words on the sheet to describe their day)

We are so happy with her first day!  She did so good.  Danny and I both got a little chocked up after we first dropped her off.  Happy tears, she just looked like a BIG GIRL!  It is so crazy how fast they grow!  But I know she is excited to go again on Thursday.

Happy Birthday Mom/Mimi!!!!!

Also, today is my mom’s birthday!!!!!  Happy birthday Mom!!!!  Another great year has passed with so many great memories….memories that we need to take more pics together at lol  I hope you have the best birthday today as we celebrate you!  We are all so lucky to have you so close.  I love how much you love Amberly, Danny and me and always come to see us (or just Ambs lol)
I love you SO SO SO much and hope you have a wonderful birthday!  To many more!

p.s…..TODAY will also be Ryan and Cara’s baby’s birthday!  We are awaiting the news…..

FINALLY......

Finally, I can tell you that my BFF KELLY IS PREGNANT!!!!!!!  YAY!!!!!!

I am SO excited I can hardly stand it!  It has been SO hard not telling anyone (even though anyone I asked Kelly if I could tell, she said yes) for the past 8 weeks!  She is already in her 14th week and is due the end of February.  A leap year baby!  I can't wait to meet Baby D and see what he/she will look like.  My prediction is a girl of course :)  Now, let me tell you how I found out.

While we were in Hawaii, we visited Pearl Harbor as you all know.  Before we went into the film portion I was texted these pictures within a few minutes of each other.

Looking at these now, DUH she's pregnant, but then, I replied back "is there something you're not telling me?".  She replied back to me something...and I was still confused.  I told Danny "Is there a baby shower she is going to that I just forgot about?!  Why would she be at a baby store with Mrs Linda and Tina?!"

I gave Danny my phone as we were walking into the film and then onto the boat to go to the memorial.  I said "I don't want to hear or feel it vibrating in my purse until we're back on land."  They were very strict on no phones there.  We were on the boat for about 30 mins....as I was there trying to take all of Pearl Harbor in, I just kept thinking "is she really pregnant?!  OMG I AM GOING TO FREAK OUT" lol

As soon as we got back on land I called her.  She was with Tina and Mrs. Linda (her mom and MIL) and YES!  She is pregnant!!!! YAY!!!!!!!  I was SO excited but I HATED being in HI finding out.  I couldn't have the jump up and down moment with her like I always imagined lol  I had to be somber and composed there lol  I said "Why did you tell me now, I can't see yall for another 10 days!"  She said Tina ran into one of Devoni's friends and she told her, so she didn't want me to hear it from Devoni.  Understandable.  Anyway, I was so glad that I knew and was soooo super excited for them.  This all came to a shock to me, as the past year they both were saying "ohhh...we will have a baby in a few years".  I didn't, no one, even knew they were trying!  So secretive, those da Silva's!  :)

Now, Jamie, Nikki and I can start planning her baby shower.  I just had a feeling that baby D was going to happen earlier than they both said...so, since the beginning of the year, while working at Pottery Barn, I began to stock up on baby shower decor.  :)  I really think everyone thought I was crazy!  lol  Jamie and I have been "pinning" things on Pinterest for MONTHS about her "imaginary" shower lol

Once we got back from Hawaii we met up with them for a celebratory dinner that also coincided with Danny's birthday weekend.  We met them at their house bearing gifts.

I bought this card back in March while looking for another baby card.  The daSilva's LOVE penguins so I thought this card was perfect!  Kelly said she has seen this card before and thought so too.  Can yall tell how MUCH I wanted them to have a baby lol
Jason also got to complete his set of Swarovski penguins.  As a wedding gift Kelly got these for Jason but only gave him 2.  She saved the 3rd for Baby D.  How cute is that!
Mommy and Daddy to be!  They're going to be the BEST parents! (The wine is non-alcoholic of course)
And our first of many bump pics :)

Kelly and Jason, we are so dang excited for yall and this journey you are about to embark on.  Parenthood is the most rewarding and fun experience you will ever have.  Announcing Baby D on yall's 10 YEAR anniversary of dating I think is SO fitting.  Baby D is going to be so spoiled rotten and loved by us and everyone else.  We are so happy for yall and can't wait to meet that baby!  We love yall!
