As yall know, last night was our 4th Annual Bake Fest! We had lots of fun, food, and made memories! Here's Bake Fest 2010 in pictures....
The girls gifts I had lined up for them. Nikki and Sarah's on the left and Kelly's on the right. That's Jason's penguin ornament from Amberly lol He loves penguins.
Up close....see the girls names on the cookies!!! Inside the bag was hot chocolate mix and a pair of Christmas socks
All ready to go....or so I thought.....
Dinner started kind of late as Kelly was stuck in horrible traffic and Sarah's work schedule. We went to Escalante's and it was delish, minus our crappy waiter!
Kelly's gifts!
Danny was our photographer for the night! Love Nikki and Sarah in Ambs' chairs lol
Opening their gifts!
We always have to have a sock pic!
Kelly doing the "Risky Business" scene LOL
Kelly have us pics from her wedding and pretty scarves, she said the pics have to go on our nightstands LOL
Sarah trying out a new style lol so cute
So after some dinner and pics, it's time to start baking....at 10 pm! We opened the fridge and the eggs hit the floor. Great. Danny being the SWEET husband he is, went to CVS to get us more eggs. Love him! He got back and handed us the eggs and said he felt like he was "chaperoning a kids sleep over" and was going to our room and to let us know if we need him haha He stayed up and read George W's book.....which is great btw {we've been taking turns reading it lately}
bffs baking
Dancing to Mariah
The dough, as usual, was giving us some probs so I called Devoni at 10:45 to see what I was doing wrong.....and prob solved and we were back in business!
Nikki and Sarah saying "NO! Not bad dough again this year!" hahahaha
Sarah making the cupcakes...so much easier
Nikki and her green thumbs.....we dyed the dough colors. She got green...
....and I got red
Ornament exchange time! On the way back from dinner Sarah realized she forgot about the exchange and needed an ornament....so her and Kelly stopped by HEB to see what they could find. Sarah came in with a brown sack and a "gem" of an ornament lol
Sarah's "ornament" was a festive color of nail polish LOL
Kelly's numbering system for the order
pretty ornaments and nail polish
Since Ambs was sleeping, I went on ahead and opened her gift from Kelly and Jason. It's the cutest little box that's one side chalk board the other dry erase. The chalkboard side slides off and holds things {inside was chalk and magnetic letters} Thanks Auntie K and Uncle J!
All in all we made about 10 cookies and a dozen cupcakes. We didn't get to the decorating of any because it was late, so I decorated some cupcakes this morning with the stencils I bought!
Think they turned out really cute.
ok, here's our final cookies and cupcakes....idk why it uploaded upside down?! But you get the point :)
How cute are these babies. Ambs and Eli went with their grandparents and Danny to walk around the subdivision and look at lights while we were at dinner. Love these kids!
Even though bake fest didn't turn out quite like I had imagined, I was so happy to have a night with my girls to celebrate Christmas and our friendship! Love u girls!

A fun night for everyone. And the baked goods look yummy. A great tradition for some beautiful ladies.
