Elf on the Shelf: Days 6-10 and some pics

OK, so  I am not as regularly posting like I want to...shame on me.  We have been busy the past week with the last day of school, painting Amberly's room (a grey and white stripe), etc.  Here's what Holly has been up to the past...few days....or last week :)

Day 6:  we found her watching the football game going on in our Christmas Village.
p.s....Amberly is so cute when she wakes up.  She comes into the kitchen asks for milk, then goes to the village and screams "OH NO!  OH NO!"...because I haven't turned the lights on yet haha.
Day 7:  Holly was having a bit of a sweet tooth
Day 8:  Holly came back from the North Pole and instead of coming back to our house (bc Danny and I were in San Antonio for the night) she went to Grandma's house and played with play-doh all night.
She made Ambs an elephant.
Day 9:  You can read more about here.  Ambs and her BFF Kane have matching PBK Elf on the Shelf pajamas so naturally, we had a play date, which I like to call "When Holly Met Sheldon."
Holly and Sheldon hanging out in the hot tub...with monogrammed towels of course.
I absolutely adore these 2 kiddos together.  They are so sweet to each other (except when Amberly "hugs" him and takes him to the ground.)  And Kane in his fireman hat cracks me up.  Sweet boy.
Day 10:  Holly was up and ready to watch Yo Gabba Gabba once Ambs woke up.
There's a story about these PJs.  Devoni went to FL for Thanksgiving and Gigi (Danny's grandma) gave her an old Christmas plaid Talbot's dress for my mom to "do something with."   When I saw it I immediately thought  buttoned up PJs.  I wish we would have taken a before pic of the dress, but this is what my Mom came up with.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!  They're the softest PJs ever.  Except, Amberly, being the Houdini that she is, kept taking the top off...so Mom sewed the button holes closed lol  So now, they're perfect!  Gigi and Papa Joe get here Tuesday and I can not wait for her to see Amberly in these jammies.
*You may notice she took off the bottom row of mesh....it has since been replaced and most ornaments have migrated towards the top of the tree.
Last Saturday us girls had our 5th Annual bake fest at Jamie's house...post coming soon.  Kelly had to go to Jason's Christmas party so we couldn't conclude our night with dinner.  So on Thursday we met at Maggiano's for Part 2 of Bake Fest.  Dinner.  Was so yummy!
And how cute is Kelly, being all of almost 30 weeks pregnant!
When I got home from dinner I checked in on Amberly (as she's been in the guest room while we've been painting) and this is what I saw.  Her in a big bed with her new bedding  and looking like an actual KID...not a baby, but a BIG KID.  When did this happen?!  Her getting so big!
Just to document, she HAS to go to bed with the following:  Kolby (her baby doll), Pepper (her black kitten), Jaguar (a jaguar) and Mike (a tiger named after LSU's mascot for her LSU god-mother Kelly)
We picked up Jaguar and Mike last week while at Target and they have since been included in her bedtime routine.
Last Thursday was a pretty awesome day.  I can't tell you everything (you will see on Christmas) but I can tell you that we FINALLY exchanged my birthday shoes Danny got me...in September!  I wanted a little higher heel and I was so happy they didn't have to be ordered!  Hello Christian Louboutin's!  You have given me shin-splints since I wore you on Thursday.  I will get used to you eventually....
Also something that makes me happy is going to the mailbox every day!  Getting Christmas cards from our friends and family mean so much to us!  I wish I could keep them up all year.
And last but not least, my favorite picture from last week...Amberly praying while at dinner.  LOVE THIS!

I hope you all have had a great week and I promise to post on meeting Santa and Bakefest soon!

xoxo
