"We're Yachting" Part II

ok, yall...this is pic OVERLOAD!  Friday morning we woke up to a great breakfast and headed to Peter Island.  It was about an hour and a half boat ride so we all went to the top deck to get some sun.

Bye St Thomas!
I thought St Thomas was so gorgeous, I had no idea the beauty we were about to see!
There's Morgan bringing in the "tender"
Hubs and Me
Captain Adrian
Jason and his Aggie koozie!  LOL  The thumb was kind of funny sticking out of it
Us girls sat on the hot tub...girls together
boys together!
The trip there was so pretty!  I prob took 50 pics of the water on the way.  I'd see a little spot and be like "oh, that's pretty" then another 5 seconds, another pretty spot.

During the ride, we had a delicious lunch, and some Cakebread :)  Perfect!
We're here!  Peter Island is a private beach and the Peter Island Resort is the only resort or hotel on the island.  We heard that Kate Winslet was there the week before us!  They have a marina/dock for yachts to use.  We didn't even have to get off the boat to check into customs {we were in the British Virgin Islands}.  One of the other stewmates, Jake, got on the tender with our passports and checked us in!

Chelsea and Jason
Hubs and I
Peter Island isn't really that big - just a close up of the island.  We were in "Deadman's Bay".  There's an old tale about pirate Black Beard, he left leaving his men on this island and they tried to swim back but they drowned so they call this "Deadman's Bay."  Kinda creepy, but so pretty lol
Walking down to the beach
Isn't this GORGEOUS!!!!!  The sand felt like sugar and the water was SO clear!  We felt like we were in a Korona commercial.  The beach was so secluded.  There was us 8, and maybe a few other people.  The next day it was busier, but that day it was so quiet.
our lounge area
BFFs
water shot!
The Chelseas
The Resort, was great.....however, the drinks were like $15 a piece!  This was the best drink I prob have ever had!  It was passion fruit on the bottom, topped with white wine and champagne.  SO good!
We got a few drinks at $15 a piece, then got beers from the boat lol  Jason's banana daiquiri was to die!
While we were at the bar, Chelsea fell fast asleep!  She's 1st anesthesia resident who works 80++ hours a week so she needed her rest.  On another note, have you ever seen a prettier Dr, don't think so!  Sleepy girl!
After the beach we came back to watch the Masters
Dinner was served and pretty much every night after we all played Apples to Apples
Yay!  Debbie!
Love them!
After this pic we all walked to the beach, got there came home and went to bed lol
The next day we went to the beach again.  Jason's dad found a conch shell while snorkeling.  We later had conch fritters, they were so good!
Kelly heading out snorkeling again.
After a day at the beach everyone got on the tender to go watch the sunset.  I don't really like boats in general {the yacht is different lol} so I didn't go.
They said it was the prettiest sunset they'd ever seen
Saturday morning we got up and a guy from the resort came and drove us up to a look out spot.  We all piled in the van and up the hill we went.
Our driver, it's still so weird to me they drive on the other side of the road.  Driving on the edge of the road up was kinda scary lol
So pretty!!!!!
Paradise!

There's a "Sun-downer" spot up there too.  Bring wine, sit in these chairs and watch the sun set.  I bet it's amazing!
Sorry if these blogs are kind of slow coming.....there's lots of pics to sort through, etc.  Coming up, is Jason and Danny paddle boarding, our food, the amazingggggg Baths and our last day.

We're off to take Ambs to her 18 month appointment.  Can you believe she's 18 months already!?

Hope you all had a great weekend!

"We're Yachting" Part I

Hey guys!  We are back  in the land of sugar after 6 fabulous day in the Caribbean.  Today was my 1st day back at PB and one of my co-workers goes "So you were on a cruise?!"  and as nicely and tactfully as I could say it, I politely said, "no, we were on a yacht."  LOL  "ohhhhhhh well, welcome back to the common folk!"  she said.  I told her it wasn't like that at all, but that yes, this was the TRIP OF A LIFETIME and we are VERY lucky to have friends like Jason and Chelsea, who invited us with them.

You all know how much I love pics, so a 6 day trip = about 500 pics.  So, I am going to split the pics up into 5 posts.....hope that's ok.  Here we go......Let the trip begin.

Thursday morning was an EARLY one....our alarms went off at 3am.  Driving down 59 with only 1 other car on the road was a little creepy, but we made it and met Chelsea's mom and step dad, Debbie and Eric at the airport.  They were on our flilghts with us so that made it a lot more fun!
When we landed in Miami at 9 am, what did we do?!  We headed straight to the bar....normal right?!  :)  We had a 3 hour layover, so we also ended up with a $90 tab.  Debbie and Eric are 2 of the nicest people, it's always so enjoyable sitting and talking with them.
Before boarding in Miami we went to get water, etc and Danny found this magazine....hence the "we're yachting" title....we said it all week lol

We were on the plane about to take off and the guy and white came on - he was ENORMOUS!  The biggest guy either one of us had ever seen!  Danny later told me "Chelsea, if he tried to take you, I'd let him"  haha thanks babe.  When he got off the plane he was greeted by a person with an NFL bag, go figure.
During the flight to St Thomas!
We're landing!!!!  It really looked like we were about to fly into the water, it was so close to the runway.
We caught a taxi to go to Yacht Haven Grande to meet Jason's dad Kelly and step mom Ronda, who were on the yacht with their friends the week prior.
Kelly met us when we got there and showed us the way. SO EXCITED to be there!
 There she is!  The Vitesse!
After hanging out with Ronda and Kelly for a bit, Captain Adrian showed us around the yacht.  It was AMAZING!  It's a 4 bedroom, 5 bath yacht, plus rooms for the staff of 4.
This is what you saw when you first walked in.  The living room and dining room.
 There's our Captain
Our room was the twin room and Debbie and Eric were next to us.
This is the kitchen, and there's Michelle the chef, she was AWESOME!  She's never been to cooking school but she made the most delicious meals EVER!  I am devoting a whole post to food...yes, I am.
This is where the Captain sits
The upper deck had a hot tub and 2 jet skis.  The British Virgin Islands don't allow jet skis so we didn't use them.  The boat also had a "tender" which is a smaller 37 foot boat, that is connected to it, you'll see that later too when the guys went fishing.  We were in the hot tub pretty much every night, it was Heaven!
This is Yacht Haven Grande.  Yachts and Cruises that come to St Thomas dock here.
Jason and Chelsea had a later flight so we went to dinner with Kelly, Ronda, Debbie and Eric.  We had the best Mojito Martinis and food! The sunset was so pretty with all the boats!
We went back to the yacht and watched the shocking American Idol where Pia got voted off.....WHAT was that?!  Anyway, Jason and Chelsea had some delays and didn't get in til late, I had already gone to bed.  :(

The next morning we woke up and headed to Peter Island......

NCAA Tournament

Last Saturday and Monday Danny got to work the Final 4 games with Ryan.  He was so excited to do this and I really think he had the time of his life!  He came home both nights just a little chatter box!  He met lots of big sports people and saw some celebs too.  He got some pretty cool videos of things too - the Kentucky players running down the tunnel, a 90 lb Leann Rimes walking by, and the confetti at the end of the championship game.  So, here's lots of pics....even though he wasn't supposed to be taking any lol

Danny with Bryant Gumble
With former NFL player Doug Flutie
Thought it was funny they kept the basketballs in the bathroom lol
Waiting for Big Man Charles Barkley to come out of the room...he met him a little later, no pic :(
With Ex-Rocket and commentator Kenny Smith
"You on the left"

So Danny calls me on the way home Saturday and was like "I have a clutch picture for you, but I may be sleeping in the guest room for it".....so I was expecting him with some cheerleaders or something lol

He got home, made me go in the other room until the pics downloaded....mind you this was at like midnight.  I came out and saw THIS.......

HOLY COW!  I literally started hitting him haha {not violently or anything lol} but I was like "OOOMMMMGGGG YOU MET VINCE YOUNG?!?!?!?!"  I graduated in 2006, the year we won the National Championship, so to me, VY is EVERYTHING!  IMO, he's the best college football player EVER {close 2nd is Tim Tebow}  But Danny being an Ag, he has HATED VY with a passion for years.....he says "he broke my heart too many times at Kyle Field" so for him to meet him, didn't even mean anything lol

He was in the back wanting to sit with his girlfriend and baby so Danny was back there with him for almost 30 minutes, just shootin the breeze.  Danny told him "in my heart of hearts I should have put you in the bathroom, I'm an Aggie"  LOL  Can't believe he said that!

He told VY that I am the biggest fan and we're a house divided.  VY told him his BFF is an Aggie {forgot the player D said he was} so he gets the rivalry very well.  Danny was like "my wife grad in 06 so she thinks you're a God" haha  As much trash talking about VY as Danny's done over the years, he actually thinks he's a good guy now.  He said he "really surprised" him.  Which, that's good.  Also, D liked VY said "Kyle Field is the 2nd best place to play behind the Rose Bowl".  I knew VY isn't really like how the media portrays him.

Still.....I SHOULD'VE MET HIM!  And was sooooooo jealous! LOL  Danny wasn't supposed to be taking pics, but he snapped this one and had to get the Gig 'Em in there LOL

Forgot this guys name....think he's on ESPN?!  But those were D's seats....THAT close!
After UCONN won the game against Kentucky.  Danny also met Ashley Judd that night {she's a HUGE KY fan} and she gave him a hug, think he was beside himself after that lol
Danny with Jim Nance.  He's a commentator for lots of sports...I think lol
Monday night, was kinda the same deal....got all the behind the scenes access.  With Ex-Rockets player and 7 time National Champion Robert Horry
Charles Barkley and all the guys before the game.
With Houton Texans coach Gary Kubiak
Don't know who this is?!
President George H W Bush meet Denis Rodman.....LOL
After UCONN won the whole thing!
Ryan and Danny on the court
UCONN cutting down the net after winning
Trophy presentation
Danny and Ryan with the trophy!

Such a neat experience and I am so glad he got to do it!

Hurry Up Thursday......

Thursday we will be landing here.....

in St Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands.

We are so excited, I can not tell you!  Danny's bff Jason invited us to go with him and Chelsea on his dad's yacht with them for his 30th birthday.  Chelsea's parents and Jason's parents are also going.  I really can't wait to get there and see everything.  We've heard such great things about this yacht and the places we will be going.  We land in St Thomas and will also go to St John and St Croix.

Our flight leaves at an early 6am!  Ugh - EARLY!  Chelsea's parents are on our flight too, so that will be fun.  We return late Tuesday night.   We have so much to do though before we leave!  Making sure Amberly is situated and baby sitting schedules are made.  My parents, Danny's parents, and Gigi and Papa Joe are all taking turns watching her at our house and Devoni's house.  Gigi and Papa Joe haven't seen her since January so they're coming in for the week to help out.  So sweet!  She's going to have so much fun being with them!  Such a lucky little girl to be surrounded by so many people who love her so much!

We went shopping yesterday and got some cute things.  Think we just need to hit up Target for some cover ups, toiletries and I REALLY want to find a BIG hat lol.  I got this bikini at VS last week - it's so nautical and has sequins, my fav!

Our phones won't work out there but apparently we will have Wi-Fi, so I am gonna try and post some things while we're there.  CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
